Well, the subject and I do have some of the same physical features such as fair freckled skin, high cheekbones, button nose, and long red hair. My hair is naturally very curly and I try to straighten it but it always ends up looking partially wild like the subject's. I also fight to part it on the side but it is defiant so I use clips to try to leash it down. I guess there's something passionate about untameable hair. Maybe it reflects the subject's own wild nature, like a filly rearing up in resistance, screaming for freedom behind a seemingly vacant gaze.
